Cynthia Pearcy
graduated from Kutztown University, Kutztown, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and began
her professional career as an Assistant Controller with United States Banknote Corporation.
Cynthia
has eighteen years of management experience including Accounting, Marketing, Human Resources, Recruitment, Benefits Administration,
Customer Service, Medical Billing/Coding, Credentialing, Insurance Contract Negotiation, Office Administration, and Operations
Management.
Cynthia began employment with the Marriott
Corporation in 1983 and has held various supervisory/management positions. During her tenure with the Marriott, she automated
the corporations payroll system, managed accounts receivables for the hotel division, and worked as an Assistant Human Resources
Manager.
In September of 1987, she relocated to the Washington DC Metropolitan area and began
employment with The Hospital for Sick Children as the Assistant Director of Human Resource. Her responsibilities included
hiring and orienting new employees, Benefits Administration, EEOC and Affirmative Action compliance, Payroll Administration,
conduct exit interviews, and employee relations. In addition, Cynthia also worked at Nutritional, Inc, located in Washington,
DC as a Director of Human Resource performing the same tasks to include managing the Transportation Department.
After leaving the Hospital for Sick Children and Nutritional, Inc., Cynthia worked at National Academy of Science
as a Junior Accountant and Inova Health Systems as the Assistant Controller being responsible for the Home Healthcare Division.
She established her own healthcare consulting company in 1995. Due to her compassion for senior citizens she began advocating
for seniors. She decided to assist seniors with their complicated medical bills, and from there, began her own “home
based” medical billing company in October of 1997 which she continues to manage.
In April 2004 Cynthia returned to the corporate arena and began consulting for Woman
to Woman Comprehensive Care (OB/GYN) in Practice Administration. Responsibilities included human resources, office administration,
medical billing, marketing, and accounting.
She has consulted for ARG Medical, District Healthcare Inc.,
R & L Medical, In Home Medical Supplies, and several independent medical practices. The healthcare businesses listed
above were new companies and Chnthia helped them with start up administration, human resources, medical billing, insurance
contract negotiation, credentialing, training, customer relations and ensuring they were compliant with HIPAA & OSHA regulations.
Cynthia is currently employed at Capitol Spine and Pain Centers located in Northern Virginia was recently promoted
to Business Office Manager. She works directly with the Board of Directors at CSPC and is responsible for the front
office operation at each medical practice, contract management and all audit accounting procedures.
